This ring, named Abell 1201, is from the Platinum Rose Collection, a collaboration with Natty Gray and Michael Palazzo. Wax was molded around blue glass by hand and then liquid silver poured into the mold forming this unique jewelry piece. 

Abell 1201 is named after Abell 1201 Brightest Cluster Galaxy, a type cD massive elliptical galaxy 2.7 billion light years from Earth. This cluster acts as a gravitational lens, bending light of more distant galaxies into an apparent tangential arc.
