This earring, named Markarian, is from the Platinum Rose Collection, a collaboration with Natty Gray and Michael Palazzo. Wax was molded around blue glass by hand and then liquid silver poured into the mold forming this unique jewelry piece.  

Markarian 335, also known as the Moving Nebula, is a Seyfert galaxy containing a supermassive black hole, 324 million light years away in the constellation of Pegasus. The central black hole is notable for its corona's spinning rate and recent change in brightness.
